Statement: Linda McMahon on the United Auto Workers Strike
September 15, 2023
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) released the following statement from Linda McMahon, Chair of the America First Policy Institute as well as AFPI’s Center for the American Worker, regarding the United Auto Workers (UAW) decision to strike due to the failures of the Biden Administration’s economic policies:
“The UAW strike is just the latest example of the failure of Bidenomics. The America First Policy Institute estimates that our Nation will lose over 117,000 auto jobs if the administration's aggressive electric car and truck mandate continues.
Forcing American automakers to make electric vehicles that the American people do not want and cannot afford is understandably causing hardworking UAW members to worry about their financial future. The Biden Administration is trying to destroy America’s great auto industry and the livelihoods of thousands of workers and their families.”
